Weber County, located in Northern Utah, covers about 659 square miles and stretches from the Great Salt Lake on the west to the Wasatch Mountains on the east. Weber County was formed in 1852 and named after the Weber River, which was named for John Henry Weber, a fur trapper and trader in the area in the 1820s.
